One of the big question regarding immigration is related to assimilation: How do you help immigrants to become part of the American society? Of course, one of the first thing is to teach them English… a language rather difficult for many of us, immigrants. And then, there is a plethora of knowledge they need to acquire, in order to be a productive element of this great society.
I am proposing that our church, one day, may sponsor entrepreneurial worshops for immigrants. These worshops would include English classes, civic orientation, American law education, and other topics. It would be great to see what business ideas could emerge when you convine the opportunities this country has to offer, with the diversity that immigrants bring to the table.
What do you think?
