He alone defines worship and social justice. But others will try to “contribute” to their definition, therefore, let us be prepared to avoid distractions.
The work week is a few hours away, and with it will come a plethora of voices defining for us what it means to worship Him, and what the aim of social justice should be.
It will get noisy and confusing in extreme. Therefore, we must be prepared.
It is His Person and Work that defines true worship and transforming social justice. It is more than an agenda, it is more than politics, it is more than our preferences. True worship and transforming social justice must be instruments that point to who He is (God Himself) and what He does (He works reconciliation between Him and us, because of His grace). They must be means for us to demonstrate – to ourselves and to those around us – that our treasure, our delight is to follow Him in humility.
What voices will you be facing this week? Who or what will try to define worship and social justice for you? To whom are we going to listen? Church, let us pray that His Beauty may be what guides us in these “interesting” times.

Solo Él define la adoración y la justicia social. Pero otros intentarán “contribuir” a su definición, por lo tanto, estemos preparados para evitar distracciones.
Faltan pocas horas para la semana laboral, y con ella vendrán una gran cantidad de voces que definirán para nosotros lo que significa adorarlo y cuál debe ser el objetivo de la justicia social.
Se pondrá ruidoso y confuso en extremo. Por lo tanto, debemos estar preparados.
Es Su Persona y Obra lo que define la verdadera adoración y la justicia social transformadora. Es más que una agenda, es más que política, es más que nuestras preferencias. La verdadera adoración y la justicia social que transforma deben ser instrumentos que indiquen quién es Él (Dios mismo) y lo que Él hace (Él obra la reconciliación entre Él y nosotros, debido a Su gracia). Deben ser un medio para que podamos demostrar, a nosotros mismos ya los que nos rodean, que nuestro tesoro, nuestro deleite es seguirlo a Él con humildad.
¿Qué voces vas a enfrentar esta semana? ¿Quién o qué intentará definir la adoración y la justicia social para ti? ¿A quién vamos a escuchar? Iglesia, oremos para que Su Belleza sea lo que nos guíe en estos tiempos “interesantes”.
