During the month of October, we will be using the letter to the Philippians as a guide for our prayer meetings, on Wednesday evenings.

For our first gathering (10/03/12) this is the text we will use, in Philippians chapter 1:

18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice, 19 for I know that (AF)through your prayers and (AG)the help of (AH)the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, 20 as it is my eager expectation and hope (AI)that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full (AJ)courage now as always Christ (AK)will be honored in my body, (AL)whether by life or by death. 21 For to me (AM)to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Our meeting will have three sections, each one starting with a reading of this passage. The first section is for prayers of worship, adoration, and thanksgiving. The second section is for prayers of confession and repentance. The final section is for intersession.

If you cannot join us (6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at our church’s building), please, set some time apart this week to follow this model of prayer, using the same passage.
