First of all I want to make sure that I give the proper credit to the person who deserves it. The title of this post is a copy of an article made by blogger COACHARNOLD from Power and Grace Performance. I just came across what I consider a really good article that applies to my life and wanted to share it with all of you.

As some of you may know I currently train in the methodology of Crossfit and I am also a level 1 Crossfit trainer. I have been doing this for almost 2 years now and challenging myself physically and mentally on a daily basis never gets old. But as a believer I have been questioned not only by other people but I ask myself:

  • “Why do I do this?”
  • “How do I know that what I do is for the glory of God?”
  • “How do I continue using God’s given talents not for my glory but for his?”

I think these are the kind of questions that any believer should ask of himself/herself of anything they do whether it is a hobby, their job, or their personal relationships. Well I encourage you to continue and read the original post so you can think about these questions and hopefully gain some clarity on the answers,  gain some perspective on how to remember he who holds us, who gives us the talents we have, and the ability to live the life that we live,  and also hopefully as you read along you can know more of the challenges and the responsibilities of  elite christian athletes.

For those of you who are athletes or want to be athletes like me, I hope that this article generates some interest in knowing how to live your life and how to perform at the top of your game but for the glory of God.
