I am always surprised at how easy it is to miss the main point of Scripture. Now that we are visiting the account of Noah, in Genesis, I have come across so many ‘rabbit trails’, so many distractions from the main point: the darkness in the human heart, and the beauty of God’s grace. It is not about how many animals came on board the ark, or if the ark is in Turkey, or if dinosaurs were among the animals that came with Noah. It is about the direct mention, for the first time, of God’s grace, His covenant, and the consequences of God’s presence in the life of his redeemed.

May the Lord allow us to see his grace, and be changed by it.
